Programmable Hall Effect Measurement System

& MagnetoResistance (MR) Measurement

Hall Effect / MagnetoResistance (MR) Measurement Techniques:

Electrical measurements under the magnetic field are an important way to understand the basic characteristics of the semiconductor and magnetic devices. By means of measuring the basic parameters such as voltage, resistance … etc., the charge transport properties of semiconductors and magnetic devices can be understood. For example: In the case for a current-carrying semiconductor in a magnetic field, by measuring the voltage at the semiconductor edges, we can know the parameters such as +/- charge, concentration, mobility of the carriers. In the other case for a current-carrying magnetic device under the sweeping magnetic field, by measuring the resistance, we can know the spin transport properties and the magnetization processes of the spintronic devices.

Technical Description:

WEISTRON Programmable Hall Effect Measurement System ( also MagnetoResistance Measurement System )  can measure the Hall voltage or magnetoresistance of nano devices /magnetic thin films under various magnetic fields by the programmable 4-probe measurements in sequence from arbitrary four electrodes out of customized number of electrodes. The optional gold electrode chips and probe stages can be incorporated into our systems. WEISTRON Programmable Hall Effect Measurement System are suitable for testing in the semiconductor industry and research laboratories.
